One of my favorite parts of the train ride from Providence to NYC is taking pictures out the window. I choose a different camera app for each trip and see what happens. Each app has its own controls, and I use them to express a different version of the trip. It could be shadows and contrast. It could be speed and blur. It could be color. This was a black and white trip with slow shutter speed that blurred the scenery as I passed by. In editing, I found that by making a row of three of the same images, I distorted the perspective. Adding the colorful geometric further blurred the line between abstract and real and contributed to the story of the image.
